The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its annual Winter Race Meeting at the Wondai Racecourse on Saturday (May 30).
The races are being promoted alongside Sunday’s Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, so a big crowd of visitors could be expected to drop in.
Race 1 will leave the barriers at 1:30pm.
Race 5, scheduled for 3:50pm, is the annual Duff Family Memorial which honours the long connections of the Duff family to country racing.
As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and licensed bar.
This meeting’s theme is “Classic Black & White” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition for great prizes.
Gates will open at the track at 11:30am.
Admission to the racecourse is just $10 but visitors should bring cash because there is no EFTPOS available on site.
