A small cooking fire on a stove top sparked a callout to firefighters in Blackbutt on Wednesday morning.
Three fire crews were called to the incident, in a house in Fern Street, about 6:30am.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said the occupants of the house extinguished the small fire before crews arrived but an alarm was still sounding and smoke was issuing from the building.
The firefighters ventilated the house and conducted atmospheric monitoring to ensure the air was safe before leaving about 8:25am.
