Former South Burnett Mayor – and Kingaroy Shire councillor – Keith Campbell was presented with an Order Of Australia Medal (OAM) on Thursday.
Queensland Governor Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM pinned on the award during an investiture ceremony at Government House in Brisbane.
Mr Campbell received his OAM for service to local government and to the community of South Burnett, including senior and committee roles with BIEDO, the KCCI, Orana, Kingaroy Meals on Wheels, South Burnett CTC, Lady Bjelke-Petersen Community Hospital and The South Burnett Pantry .
It was announced in the 2026 Australia Day Honours List.
Mr Campbell was named Kingaroy Citizen of the Year in 1991 and was made a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow in 2012.
