There’s a big weekend of soccer coming up in Kingaroy!
On Friday night, Round 2 of the South Burnett Women’s Football competition will be played at Tom Alford Oval in Kingaroy.
At 6:15pm, Kingaroy Easts will take on Kingaroy Wests; followed by Barambah v South Burnett United at 7:35pm.
On Saturday night, Kingaroy’s Division 2 team face Garden City Raiders at 5:00pm, followed by the Division 1 team in action against Highfields at 7:00pm.
The Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club’s canteen will be open on both nights serving hot food, cold drinks and snacks.
On Saturday morning, Round 2 of the South Burnett junior competitions will be in action across the junior fields.
Last Friday, Round 1 of the women’s competition was played in Kingaroy.
Kingaroy Wests drew 1-all with Barambah, while Kingaroy Easts defeated South Burnett United 3-2 in a high-scoring game.
SB United is a combined team made up of players from different clubs.
Last Saturday, Kingaroy Division 1 played a nil-all draw with Goondiwindi at Pittsworth, while the Division 2 men defeated Willowburn 2-0 at Willowburn.
Harvey Sawtell kicked the two goals.
