The vehicle ended up on its roof in a ditch near Coolabunia State School

Police are investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash which occurred at Coolabunia on Saturday night.

A police spokesperson said initial investigations indicate that at some time between 9:30pm and 10:30pm, a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling towards Nanango on the D’Aguilar Highway when it left the road and crashed.

The vehicle ended up on its roof in a ditch near the Coolabunia State School.

The driver and sole occupant, a 38-year-old Kingaroy man, was not injured.

Police are appealing for anyone with relevant information or dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.

The Mitsubishi Lancer is believed to have been travelling towards Nanango when the incident occurred

Emergency services were kept busy with a string of separate incidents in the South Burnett on Sunday:

  • A person was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road at Maidenwell about 3:10pm.
  • A motorcycle rider was injured in a crash on the D’Aguilar Highway near Lucas Road at Hodgleigh about 3:35pm.
  • A man in his 30s was injured when his vehicle ran off Memerambi-Gordonbrook Road, near Wilsons Road, about 8:30pm and hit a tree.

All three people were taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.
