South Burnett Genealogical and Family History Society vice-president Carmel Olsson caught up with Santa

December 12, 2025

Santa Claus dropped in last week at the Christmas break-up of the South Burnett Genealogical and Family History Society at Kingaroy RSL Club.

The surprise visit delighted members of the group.

The Society has been operating in Kingaroy since 1981.

Members meet every Wednesday morning between 9:00am and noon at the Kingaroy Library in Glendon Street.

“We will be having a short break over Christmas but will be starting again in February 2026,” secretary Carly Zilm said.

The group currently has 23 members but is always willing to welcome more.

“We extend a warm invitation to new members!” Carly said.

The Society can also be contacted by email
