Work will begin next week to upgrade a section of Niagara Road in a joint project by Wambo Wind Farm and Western Downs Regional Council.
Roadworks on the 10km stretch between the Kingaroy-Jandowae Road intersection and Woollett’s Road intersection will include widening the existing bitumen road.
The project is being funded by the Wambo Wind Farm but will be completed by the WDRC.
Wambo Wind Farm project director Stuart Black said repairing the road was “part of what being a responsible neighbour and member of the community is all about”.
“Niagara Road has sustained a heavy amount of wear and tear from construction vehicle traffic over the past two years,” Mr Black said.
“These works will restore the condition of this 10km stretch of road and ensure a better driving experience for the community.”
The project is expected to begin on Monday (October 13).
