Applications for the State Government’s “Play On!” sports vouchers opened on Monday.
Each voucher is valued up to $200, with every Queensland child and young person aged between five and 17 named on a Medicare card eligible to apply.
The vouchers will be available for winter or summer sports, with dedicated allocations for children living with a disability or in country Queensland.
Sport Minister Tim Mander said the vouchers would help families by alleviating some of the costs of memberships, registration or participation fees.
