The South Burnett Speedway Club has released its calendar of events for the 2025-26 racing season.

The major highlight, of course, is the running of the 14th Annual Kings Royal for Modifieds sedans in January but the schedule also includes the return of Queensland Speedcars for the first time in more than 10 years and the debut appearance in Kingaroy of 360/LS Sprint Cars.

Season Calendar

2025

  • September 13 – Practice day
  • October 11 – Speedcars, 360/LS Sprint Cars, F500s, Lightning Sprints, Compact Speedcars and Wingless Sprints
  • November 8 – Steven Wheeler Memorial Event – Production Sedans (Qld Title), Modifieds and Junior Sedans
  • December 29 – 410 Sprint Cars, LS/360 Sprint Cars,  F500s, Modlites and Lightning Sprints

2026

  • January 23-25 – 14th Annual King’s Royal – Modifieds, Queen’s Royal, Production Sedan Stampede, Street Stocks and Late Models
  • February 21 – Compact Speedcars (Qld Title), Street Stocks, National 4s, Wingless Sprints, Junior Sedans and Legend Cars
  • March 14 – Super Sedans, Late Models, Modifieds, AMCA and Street Stocks
  • April 18 – V8 Dirt Modifieds (Qld Title), Production Sedans, Modlites and F500s
  • May 3 – Kingaroy Show – Street Stocks, Wingless Sprints, Modifieds, Production Sedans and AMCA.

The club’s annual trophy presentations, which were to be held last Saturday night, have been rescheduled to next month.

They will be held  from 11:00am on Saturday, July 12, at the Kingaroy Bowls Club.

There will be a fun day of barefoot bowls plus a barbecue lunch and the trophy announcements.

Tickets are $30 per person (which includes bowls, barbecue and dessert) and a licensed bar will also be open.
