The South Burnett Eagles have flown the coop, heading off to Salter Oval Bundaberg for this weekend’s big 47th Battalion rugby league carnival.
Players were presented with their Eagles’ jerseys at a ceremony on Thursday night at Kingaroy’s Commercial Hotel.
They’ll be hoping to do one better than 2023 and 2024 when they brought home the Plate trophy.
Picked in the squad are: Steven Walsh, Jonathan Walsh, Josiah Alberts, Dom Sandow, Killian Klease, George Fisher Jnr, Lachlan Price, Barry Tapau-Fewquandie, Fletch Prendergast, Adam Nightingale, Elwyn Fewquandie, Anthony Gray, Connor Sullivan, Harry Perrett, Josh Peterson, Asofono Lemalu, Mitch Bailey, Joel Fewquandie and Tiai Tuiloma.
The men will take on Gladstone at 9:00am on Saturday; followed by the Central Burnett at 3:40pm.
The Final and Plate Final will be played on Sunday.
