Kingaroy State High School scooped the pool at the recent South Burnett Music Awards.
Music teacher Matt Phillips was inducted into the Hall Of Fame, Year 10 student Angelina Blanch received the $2000 Jeff Connor Scholarship Bursary and student band The Paradox (aka Harrison Johnson, Emma Lindholm and Justine Evangelista) were awarded the People Of The Industry’s Choice trophy.
The other nominees for the Hall Of Fame were Julee-anne Bell, Larry Cann, Sonia McMahon and Terry Million.
The third annual South Burnett Music Awards, organised by Blackbutt musician Warren Gould and his small committee, was hosted this year by the Commercial Hotel in Kingaroy (one of the nominees for Live Music Venue of the Year).
