The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is seeking applications from grain growers, agronomists, researchers and agricultural industry stakeholders to join its Regional Panels.
The Northern Region Panel covers Queensland and NSW.
GRDC is a Federal Government statutory body responsible for planning, investing in and overseeing research, development and extension for Australian grain growers.
The organisation invests more than $200 million annually on behalf of growers to drive cutting-edge innovation to improve the profitability of the grains sector.
Regional panels provide a vital link between the broader grains sector and GRDC, and help to identify, prioritise and support investments.
GRDC Managing Director Nigel Hart said the organisation was seeking regional panel members with strong connections within the grains sector, an understanding of the industry and the willingness to make a difference when it comes to contributing to Australian RD&E.
“We want innovative, open-minded people, who have an understanding of the grains sector and the ability to engage and connect with others,” he said.
