Cherbourg Brothers put on a strong performance in the recent Christmas Cup rugby league tournament played in the heat at Palm Island.
Brothers finished on top of the ladder after the preliminary rounds, earning a spot in the quarter-finals against Waandi Warriors.
Cherbourg were too strong, easily defeating Warriors 42-4.
Unfortunately, in the semi-final they came up against home team Barracudas 1, going down 22-6.
Barracudas 1 then faced the Stumbo Walsh Memorial side in the Grand Final, losing 19-6.
Cherbourg’s Anthony Gray impressed during the games, getting named in the Christmas Cup Merit Team at the end of the carnival.
