Emergency services were called to reports of vehicles stranded in flash flooding on Friday night, prompting the South Burnett Regional Council to issue a “Watch and Act” warning.
At 7:28pm, fire crews were called to Greenview Road at Wondai after reports of a vehicle caught in floodwaters but the occupants did not require assistance.
About 10 minutes later, emergency services were called to Merlwood after reports another vehicle had become caught in floodwater.
Again, no one required a rescue but fire crews helped the occupants to get assistance from the QAS.
A QAS spokesperson said paramedics transported a woman, aged in her 50s, to Murgon Hospital. Two other patients were assessed but declined transport to hospital.
Council issued the Watch and Act warning for flash flooding at 8:45pm, urging people to not drive unless necessary.
