Fire crews at Kingaroy’s Glendon Street toilets on Monday afternoon

November 18, 2024

Vandals have set a fire in the Kingaroy’s Glendon Street toilet block … again.

Two fire trucks, an ambulance and police were called to the incident about 4:30pm on Monday.

The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

This is the fourth incident of vandalism in a Council-own toilet block in recent weeks.

Vandals have damaged the public toilet blocks in Butter Factory Park at Nanango and Wooroolin (which belong to the South Burnett Regional Council) and a fire was lit in Toowoomba Council’s toilet block in Yarraman Recreation Park.

In July, the parenting room at the Glendon Street facility was closed for several days after a fire was lit inside.
