Thieves who broke into the Tablelands Rural Fire Brigade shed on Sunday stole electrical equipment and damaged a roller door.

Murgon police have appealed for help from the public in relation to the break-in.

It is believed two thieves forced their way into the building in Crownthorpe Road about 2:20am on Sunday, while a third person remained outside in a getaway vehicle.

The thieves rummaged around the shed before taking electrical equipment and driving off.

Local councillor Heath Sander said the culprits had been caught on camera footage.

Police are also investigating a break-in which occurred between 5:00pm on August 30 and 8:00am on September 2 in Cherbourg.

The offenders climbed over a locked four-foot high mesh perimeter fence at a property in Barambah Avenue, forced their way into a kitchenette and searched a fridge.

Police have charged a 72-year-old Windera man with a string of offences after he was allegedly caught driving twice with high-range alcohol readings.

It will be alleged that police stopped the man’s vehicle on Friday (September 6) in Lamb Street, Murgon.

The driver was allegedly unlicensed at the time and recorded a positive breath test of 0.157 BAC.

His driver’s licence was immediately suspended.

Police allege the man was intercepted while driving again on the following day. This time he allegedly blew 0.162 BAC.

The 72-year-old man is due to appear in Murgon Magistrates’ Court on September 24.

He faces one count of unlicensed driving, two counts of disqualified driving and two counts of high-range drink driving.

A man suffered a suspected head injury in a collision between two vehicles at the intersection of the D’Aguilar Highway and Nanango-Tarong Road on Friday (September 6).

Emergency services were called to the crash site just outside Nanango about 2:50pm.

Firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free the man from the wreckage of his vehicle.

He was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

QAS paramedics assessed two other people at the scene but they declined transport.

A woman was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a three-vehicle collision at the corner of Industrial Avenue and Kingaroy-Cooyar Road in Kingaroy on Thursday (September 5).

Emergency services were called about 3:00pm to the incident.
