A 59-year-old Kingaroy man – shot by police during an incident at Kingaroy Hospital on August 9 – is facing four charges.
The man, who was shot after allegedly threatening officers with a knife, is still undergoing treatment in hospital.
He has been issued with a notice to appear in court on one count of going armed to cause fear and three counts of seriously assaulting police.
He is due to face Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 18.
Police were called to the hospital after reports of a disturbance at the facility.
The man allegedly confronted them at the main entrance.
Medical assistance was immediately provided to the man after he was wounded.
He was then airlifted to the Sunshine Coast Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
No police officers were physically injured during the incident.
All police shootings are investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with investigations subject to oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
