South Burnett Saints men claimed a decisive victory over Cougars at Lyle Vidler Oval

South Burnett Saints men notched up their second win of the season in the Darling Downs AFL competition on Saturday.

The Saints were in action at home at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy against University Cougars.

They put on a strong show for their home crowd against the Toowoomba-based side, with the final score 12.13-85 to 4.7-31.

South Burnett goals were kicked by David Daley (3), Ned O’Connor (2), Ben Pressnell, Brad Pressnell, Hunter Brown, Jack Mines, James Packer, Joshua Freeman and Ryan Zeller.

Earlier, the South Burnett Saints women suffered a narrow defeat against Cougars: 4.3-27 to 3.2-20.

Daisha Elais (2) and Ellie-Mae Dodt were the South Burnett goal kickers.

Kisubi Kimba kicked a goal for the Saints in their U14s clash against Cougars.

This weekend the Saints senior men’s and women’s teams will be heading to Warwick, while the U14s will be in Toowoomba.
