Residents and community groups have been invited to attend the inaugural “South Burnett Koala Forum” to be held in Murgon later this month.

The free forum, which aims to “unite koala enthusiasts” is an initiative of South Burnett Koala Watch and is being supported by the Burnett Catchment Care Association and the CSIRO.

Guest speakers will discuss:

  • Creating a Koala-Aware Community – Michelle Daly from Koala Action Gympie Region
  • Koala Rescue in the South Burnett – Kay Chambers from Koala Rescue Qld
  • Burnett Koala Program – Misty Neilson from the Burnett Catchment Care Association
  • National Koala Monitoring Program – CSIRO

The forum will be be held from 10:30am to 1:30pm on April 29 at the Murgon RSL Club.

The event is free but registrations should be made online
