The Nanango Local Ambulance Committee will use funds raised at their recent Bogan Bingo night to buy a HoverJack Air Patient Lift to help local paramedics.
The HoverJack is placed under patients who can then be raised to the height of the ambulance stretcher, saving stress on paramedics’ backs.
About 60 people attended the Bogan Bingo night last Saturday in Nanango.
There were flannos, mullets and thongs aplenty amongst the guests at the fun evening at St Patrick’s School Hall.
LAC president Sandra Cooper said it had been a very successful night, with more than $2000 raised.
She said the plan was to hold another event next year.
