A dramatic arrest in Nanango on Wednesday has been linked to an alleged domestic violence incident on the Gold Coast on Monday.

A 20-year-old man was arrested in Railway Lane while Public Safety Response Team (PSRT) police covered the area from Drayton Street.

The PSRT officers had weapons pointed down the street as the man was loaded into the back of a police van.

A QPS spokesperson said police were called to the incident at 8:20am.

The man is expected to be charged with domestic violence-related offences and it is anticipated he will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.

His connection with Nanango at this stage is unknown.
