An elderly man was assessed by paramedics after an incident during a tug-o-war event in Kingaroy on Friday morning.
A QAS spokesperson said the man, aged in his 80s, suffered a suspected head injury when he fell backwards and struck his head.
Paramedics were called to the incident about 9:45am.
He was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.
