A stolen truck carrying hay bales, belonging to Murgon business Carneys Feed Store, has been located … minus the hay.
Gympie police put out an alert for the stolen truck on Tuesday afternoon.
The vehicle, a white 2005 Isuzu NPR Series tray truck, was reported stolen from Pine Street, Gympie, at 3:26am on Tuesday.
Police said the vehicle was spotted turning left from Pine Street on to the Bruce Highway.
It was dropping hay bales on to the roadway as it drove off, travelling northwards.
The truck was later located in a forestry area at Amamoor.
