The South Burnett Antique Motor Club hosted a barbecue in Kingaroy on Saturday evening for a dozen members of a visiting car club who have been exploring the South Burnett on a five-day rally.

The 6/80 & MO Oxford & Cowley Club is an international club, based in the UK, which also has members in Australia.

Club members own Morris and Wolseley vehicles and take part in regular runs and car shows.

The rally, from September 6-11, visited the Bunya Mountains, Dusty Hill Winery at Moffatdale and Bjelke-Petersen Dam as well as their stopover in Kingaroy.

Club secretary John Inshaw, from Galston in NSW, said cars had come from South Australia, Victoria, NSW and Queensland for the event.

A particularly rare vehicle taking part was a 1959 Morris Oxford Series IV Traveller, one of only a handful believed to be in Australia.
