Riders taking part in the annual Ride 4 Relay fundraiser rolled out of Wondai Showgrounds early on Tuesday morning.

They were led on their way by ride organiser Jason Wyeth, from the South Burnett Mountain Bike Club.

The five-day event will explore a roundabout route taking in Nanango, Proston and the Hivesville area before returning to Wondai on Saturday.

They will spend Tuesday night at Nanango Showgrounds.

The Ride 4 Relay team hopes to raise between $20,000 and $30,000 for Relay For Life, the annual fundraiser for Cancer Council Queensland.

The first Ride 4 Relay was held in 2017 and has been held every year since, raising just over $140,000 along the way.
