Twenty-two riders have signed up for this year’s new-look Ride 4 Relay fundraiser, with organiser Jason Wyeth hoping they can again raise between $20,000 and $30,000 for Relay For Life.

The riders will be departing from Wondai next Tuesday (August 29) to explore a new, but not less challenging, route around the South Burnett.

Day 1 will cover from Wondai to Nanango, where the riders will spend the night at the showgrounds.

Then it’s off to Bjelke-Petersen Dam for Day 2.

On Day 3 the riders will head off from the dam to Proston, via Boat Mountain.

The group will spend two nights in Proston.

On Day 4, they will complete a loop ride around Abbeywood and Hivesville before returning to Proston to enjoy their farewell dinner at the Golden Spurs Hotel.

Day 5 – the last day – will be from Proston back to Wondai.

Jason said there would be three support crew accompanying the riders.

He anticipated there would be some tough days as the cyclists negotiated hills along the route.

The first Ride 4 Relay was held in 2017 and has been held every year since, raising just over $140,000 for Cancer Council Queensland along the way.
