A grader was brought in on Wednesday afternoon in a bid to control a large grassfire burning in the Wattle Camp area.
Fire crews were called to the incident just before noon.
At 3:30pm there were 16 fire crews in action, including several urban units as well as the grader which was cutting a containment line.
A QFES spokesperson said firefighters were still working to contain the fire but there was no threat to property at the moment.
The fire is burning in the vicinity of Mount Hope Road.
