Emergency services were called to reports a bus was on fire in a caravan park at South Nanango on Wednesday evening.

Five fire crews were called to the incident, off the D’Aguilar Highway, just before 8:00pm.

A QFES spokesperson said firefighters, including two wearing breathing apparatus, fought the blaze from both inside and outside the vehicle.

Fortunately, the flames did not spread to nearby vegetation.

The fire was contained by 8:20pm and completely extinguished by 8:40pm.
