The annual Brisbane Valley Rail Trail End To End (E2E) cycling challenge, organised by the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association (BVRTUA), set a new record at the weekend.

BVRTUA president Paul Heymans said 118 riders gathered at the Ipswich Grammar School playing fields on Saturday morning.

Less than 10 hours later, 104 of the starters made it into Yarraman’s Station Park.

This was a new record for the most number of people to complete the entire length of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail in a single day,

The journey was 160km, and as it was from south to north, most of the ride was uphill!
