Nanango Sporting Association has been able to significantly upgrade its facilities at Alan Downie Sports Fields in Nanango thanks to recent grants.

The sports fields, in Burnett Street, are used by the local kennel club as well as the cricket and soccer associations.

The Nanango Sporting Association, which consists of representatives from these groups, have added disability amenities to the grounds.

The toilet can be accessed via a new ramp.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without Heritage Bank Nanango and their willingness to partner with the Australian Government to bring this long-needed necessity to fruition for the three resident clubs and the wider community,” an NSA spokesperson said.

“Our members are happy to be able to welcome people of all ages and abilities.

“Heritage have been excellent supporters for many years, enabling various beneficial projects to go ahead at the busy not-for-profit facility.”
