  • June 21 – Kingaroy Town Hall Supper Room – 9:30am-11:30am (RSVP by June 19).

Guest speaker will be Department of Resources natural resource management officer David Hinz.

Topics covered will include:

  • Clearing laws and codes
  • Property Maps of Assessable Vegetation
  • Forestry Practices
  • Categories of Vegetation (including Category R regrowth watercourse vegetation)

BIEDO agriculture officer Alan Broome said the workshops were part of a series being planned this year to benefit the agriculture sector.

“The Vegetation Management workshops run for two hours,” he said.

“The Cloyna workshop is at night and provides a barbecue dinner to participants.

“The Kingaroy workshop is in the morning and will include a light lunch.”

Mr Broome said the workshops were being held at two locations so people could choose which was most convenient.
