Cattle were killed – and others badly injured – in a B-Double truck rollover near Cooyar on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the New England Highway about 10:30am.
Paramedics assessed the driver of the vehicle, a young man, at the scene but a QAS spokesperson said he declined transport to hospital.
QFES personnel used cutting equipment to free some of the injured animals from the wrecked trailer.
The highway was blocked for several hours due to the crash, with diversions put in place.

Earlier, a man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle rollover near Goomeri on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the Wide Bay Highway about 4:00am.
A QAS spokesperson said the man, aged in his 20s, had shoulder and neck pain.
