The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its traditional Anzac Day Race Meeting at the Wondai Racecourse in Baynes Street, Wondai on Tuesday, April 25.

The meeting is the 50th Anzac Day meeting held at the course, and proceeds will go to aid Legacy.

The Anzac Day meeting is always one of the biggest meetings the club holds every year.

This year promises to be no exception, with all marquee seating booked out and only a limited number of reserved tables still available.

As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar.

The traditional Fashions On The Field competition will have a “Poppies and Pearls” theme, and guests who dress to it can be in the running for some great prizes.

Gates will open at the track at 11:30am; the bar will open at 1:00pm; and Race 1 will leave the barriers at 1:30pm.

This year’s Anzac Day race meeting will feature six races and is being sponsored by Smithfield Feedlot, Raffin Electrical, Argus Builders, the Wondai Diggers Club, Wondai Peries IGA and Wondai H Hardware.
