A woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Wondai-Proston Road on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services were called to the incident, at Keysland, just before 5:00pm.

Local QAS paramedics were first on the scene, followed shortly afterwards by three QFES crews.

The firefighters assisted in removing the occupants from the wrecked vehicle.

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight helicopter was called into action about 5:30pm.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the woman, aged in her 50s, had been driving with her high-school aged daughter when their car veered off the road and rolled down an embankment.

The rescue helicopter landed near the scene of the incident.

A QAS spokesperson said the woman was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with head lacerations, a shoulder injury and suspected spinal injuries.

Her daughter was transported in a stable condition with lacerations and bruises to Kingaroy Hospital.

About 6:30am on Tuesday, emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash on the Cherbourg Road at Cherbourg.

The vehicle had run off the road and hit a tree.

A man aged in his 30s was transported by ambulance to Cherbourg Hospital in a stable condition with chest pain.
