The Manumbar Campdraft and Hall Association will receiver $35,000 to resurface the campdraft arena

Fourteen local groups will share almost $410,000 in funding thanks to the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

The biggest winners are the Blackbutt & District Pony Club, Manumbar Campdraft and Hall Association, Murgon State School P&C, Nanango and District Cricket Club, South Burnett Saints AFL Club and the Tablelands Rural Fire Brigade which will all receive $35,000 each.

The successful local groups were:

  • Blackbutt & District Pony Club – $35,000 – Buy a mower
  • Cooyar Campdraft Association – $31,450 – Buy cattle panels and a bale feeder
  • Goomeri Bowls Club – $31,302.79 – Upgrade facility and buy equipment
  • Gordonbrook Rural Fire Brigade – $27,069.86 – Upgrade facility
  • Kilkivan Community Gym Inc – $24,670 – Upgrade facility
  • Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce Inc – $23,845.90 – Upgrade facility
  • Manumbar Campdraft and Hall Association – $35,000 – Resurface campdraft arena
  • Murgon State School P&C – $35,000 – Upgrade oval, install irrigation system and water tanks
  • Nanango and District Cricket Club – $35,000 – Upgrade cricket nets
  • Nanango RSL Sub-Branch – $8195 – Install doors and paint
  • South Burnett Community Orchestra – $28,214 – Buy equipment
  • South Burnett Saints AFL Club – $35,000 – Install scoreboard and buy sports camera
  • Tablelands Rural Fire Brigade – $35,000 – Upgrade facility
  • Yarraman Local Ambulance Committee – $24,490.85 – Buy a training mannequin and defibrillator

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington congratulated the successful applicants.

“This is a great start to 2023 for these community groups and it is wonderful they will be able to complete key projects for their groups and members,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“Congratulations to these groups on their grant success and I look forward to hearing about the progress of their important projects.
