The number of people being treated for COVID-19 in Queensland hospitals has risen for the fourth week in a row.

Statistics released by Queensland Health on Friday morning show there were 278 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital on February 28.

This included six people in intensive care units.

The figures for the previous weeks were 183 / 6 (February 7), 212 / 5 (February 14) and 234 / 8 (February 21).

Another 23 deaths were added to Queensland’s COVID-19 tally on Friday, taking the toll since the pandemic began to 2783.
