Twenty fire crews – a mix of urban and rural units – were called to a large paddock fire at Booie on Sunday night.

A QFES spokesperson said firefighters were called about 6:30pm to the incident on Booie Road.

The spokesperson said the flames were slow-moving but covered an area of about 20ha.

The southern flank of the blaze was contained about 9:40pm.

Fire crews then did back-burning on the western flank.

By 10:50pm, all flames were out and fire crews were mopping up.

Firefighters returned to the incident on Monday morning to check that the area remained safe.
