Brad Schipanski lines up another six … he hit eight 6s and six 4s during his innings for Nanango Yellow but just fell short of his ton

Nanango Yellow defeated Kingaroy Services Orange by 211 runs in their South Burnett senior cricket match played at Taabinga State School last Saturday.

Nanango won the toss and batted first.

At the end of their 40 overs they were 9/246 with Brad Schipanski (94) and opening bat Joe Steinhardt (68) top-scoring.

Joshua Unverzagt (3/58 off six overs) and Travis Bice (2/35 off four) were Kingaroy’s best bowlers.

In reply, Kingaroy Services Orange were all out for 85 in the 31st over.

Justin Labinsky (36) was the top scorer.

Ben Greenslade (3/21), J. Prendergast (2/10) and Jack Cobon (2/17) did the damage for Nanango.

South Burnett junior representative teams were in action at Murgon Sportsground on Sunday against sides from Gympie:

  • U12 – South Burnett (93 all out) def. Gympie (70 all out) by 17 runs.
