A fatal collision involving a truck and a vehicle blocked the Brisbane Valley Highway for several hours on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the incident, at Fairney View south of Fernvale, about 2:00pm.
A 27-year-old Lowood man, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 33-year-old North Booval man, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
The QPS Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Police have appealed for anyone with information, or relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
