A total of 202 people have died with COVID-19 in Queensland since the beginning of 2023.

Queensland Health reported the latest 69 deaths on Friday, taking the toll since the pandemic began to 2643.

As at midnight on January 24, there were 243 people being treated for COVID-19 in Queensland hospitals, including six in intensive care units.

As at January 18, 91.9 per cent of eligible Queenslanders aged 16 and over had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

A total of 93.2 per cent had received one dose.

Queensland’s current COVID-19 health alert status is “Green”.

This means Queensland Health has determined there are low rates of community transmission and Queensland is not in a COVID-19 wave.
