An elderly woman has been airlifted to hospital with leg injuries after a 4WD rolled at Kinbombi on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the Wide Bay Highway, near Coleman Siding Road, at 3:11pm.

A rescue helicopter was also despatched and landed near the scene.

Traffic on the highway was diverted while emergency crews were attending the incident.

The woman, aged in her 80s, was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after she was freed from the wreckage by QFES crews.

A man, aged in his 70s, was assessed by QAS paramedics at the scene and transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.

This is the second single-vehicle crash to occur on the Wide Bay Highway near Coleman Siding Road within days.

On Wednesday afternoon, paramedics assessed five occupants after a single-vehicle rollover.

No life-threatening injuries were reported in that incident.
