Looking for a quirky and unique Christmas gift? Then Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery could be the spot for you!

The gallery’s commercial venture, Shop 38, has expanded to fill the whole gallery space in the lead-up to the festive season.

The Pop-Up Shop is showcasing quality arts and crafts made in the South Burnett region.

Guests were invited to attend a special preview on Friday night.

They were treated to a display of paintings, textile art, pottery, glassware and other crafts … all available for sale.

There were even some Fabergé-style decorated eggs!

The gathering was also an opportunity to chat to some of the artists and artisans behind the works.

Importantly, the items were not labelled with “city prices” so many were quickly snapped up on the night, but there are still plenty of bargains to be had!

The Christmas Pop-Up Shop will be open at the Kingaroy Art Gallery from 10:00am to 4:00pm weekdays – and 9:00am to 1:00pm on weekends – until December 23.

Three well-known local artists … Paul van Vegchel, Kingaroy Arts Team president Fran van Vegchel and Carmel Nott
