Kingaroy Services Orange were too strong for Nanango Purple, downing the visitors by five wickets in the South Burnett Senior cricket game played at Taabinga State School last Saturday.
Nanango won the toss and batted first and were 8/189 at the end of their 40 overs.
Thomas Town (65) and Lochlan Burrows (37) were Purple’s top scorers.
Bowling honours were shared around with three Kingaroy players taking two wickets each: Thomas Hoare (2/41), Joshua Unverzagt (2/45) and Sam Scott (2/48).
In reply, Orange were 5/194 at the end of the 32nd over.
Opener Ryan Jacobs made 77 runs before he was bowled.
Sam Scott finished 51 not out.
Thomas Town (2/21 off five overs) and Rory O’Connor (2/37 off eight) were Purple’s best bowlers.

- Murgon Crusaders (4/118) defeated Gympie Harlequins (115 all out) at Jack Ison Oval in Gympie.
Harlequins won the toss and batted first, but were all out in the 38th over.
Graham Brown (3/14 off six) and Nicholas Sanewski (2/23 off seven) were the best of the Murgon bowlers.
In reply, Crusaders overtook the target in the 23rd over with the help of 24 sundries.
Brenton Polzin (35) and opener Joe Meikle (32 not out) finished with Murgon’s top scores.
