The South Burnett’s much-disrupted 2022 soccer season has come to a close with Grand Finals competed in both senior and junior grades.

Wet weather forced multiple cancellations throughout the year, as well as last-minute venue changes.

On Saturday, the Grand Finals in the U12/13s and Cadets competitive junior grades were hosted at the Alan Downie Sportsfields in Nanango.

Dalby Tigers’ junior teams were Minor Premiers in both grades.

In the U12/13s, Barambah United overcame Dalby Victory 4-2 in a tough game.

In Cadets, Dalby Phoenix 3 defeated South Burnett Fencing Kingaroy Redbacks 2.

On Sunday afternoon, the Grand Final of the Senior Men’s competition was played, also at the Alan Downie Sportsfields.

Kingaroy Islanders downed Kingaroy Wests in a match that had to be relocated from Kingaroy.

On Tuesday, the Nanango Panthers Women defeated Kingaroy Wests Women 2-1 in the Grand Final at Tom Alford Oval in Kingaroy.
