A man aged in his 20s was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital with burns after an incident at Ballogie on Wednesday night.
Emergency services were called to a private property on McLucas Road about 10:20pm.
When fire crews arrived, they found a couch had caught on fire.
QAS paramedics assessed a man at the scene who had suffered burns to his left hand.
He was transported in a stable condition.
