Three Sunshine Coast Lightning players will be visiting the South Burnett next week as part of the club’s first regional tour.

The netball team has been part of the national Suncorp Super Netball competition since 2017.

Tara Hinchliffe, Mahalia Cassidy and Laura Scherian will be delivering clinics at schools and associations, and organised meet and greets so young netballers can meet the players.

The tour is part of Suncorp’s Team Girls program which aims to encourage girls to build confidence and success together.

The netballers will visit Nanango State High School on August 26.

This visit will be followed by a clinic at the Nanango Netball Association’s courts in Brooklands Road for younger players aged 6-14 which will run from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

On August 27, two more clinics will be run at the Kingaroy netball courts in Alford Street East.

One clinic will be for players aged 5-10 years (9:00am-10:30am) and another for players aged 11-17 years (11:00am-12:30pm).

Registrations are limited to 100 per clinic and can be made online
