Paramedics assessed three people after a single-vehicle rollover at Memerambi in the early hours of Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the Bunya Highway, near Squire Street, just before 1:00am.

A QAS spokesperson said the trio declined transport to hospital.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said investigations revealed the driver of a Hyundai hatch, a 46-year-old Narangba woman, had fallen asleep.

The vehicle was travelling north and continued straight on to the wrong side of the road at a corner.

The driver woke up on the wrong side and attempted to steer back to the correct side, but over-corrected.

The vehicle left the road at speed, hit an embankment and crashed through a tree and barbed wire fence.

The driver was charged with driving unlicensed and will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 1.
