Murgon Show Society was forced to cancel their annual show earlier this year but they are making up for it in a big way this weekend!

On Saturday, a stud beef and prime cattle show will be held at Murgon Showgrounds.

Led steers will be at noon, followed by junior handlers from 2:00pm.

Then on Saturday night, local singer Amber Goldsmith will be hitting the stage at 6:00pm with live music until 9:00pm.

The public are invited to come along, and entry is free.

Stud cattle judging will kick off events on Sunday from 8:00am.

This will be followed by a National Rodeo Association daytime rodeo from 11:00am.

There will be bull rides and barrel racing from junior through to senior classes, with cash prizes.

Admission to the rodeo is $15 for adults with children under 12 free.

Entry will be via the gates at the corner of Watt and Pearen streets.

A canteen and bar will be operating both days.

A special attraction on Sunday will be the auction of “Rusty”, a Crinkle Creek Garden Art dog created from corrugated iron off an old original shed at Murgon Showgrounds.
