A rescue helicopter has transported a man to hospital in a serious condition after a bulldozer rolled down an embankment at Booubyjan on Wednesday morning.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said emergency services were called to a site off Booubyjan Road a few minutes before 11:00am.

They found a man trapped inside the vehicle.

The man was freed and then flown by RACQ LifeFlight to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious but stable condition.

The rescue helicopter was able to land nearby but due to the extremely steep terrain, the critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic had to then be taken down the slope to the patient by other emergency service vehicles.

The patient was treated at scene before being carried to the bottom of the valley, where the helicopter flew in to meet them.

The QAS spokesperson said the man suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries.
