Nanango women played a 2-all draw with Kingaroy Easts women in their soccer game played at Tom Alford Oval, Kingaroy, last Friday night.

Senior games returned to Kingaroy after a three week break to allow the fields to recover from recent flooding.

Haylee Downie was best on field for Nanango while Kate Mashford earned the praise for Easts.

Kingaroy Wests and Barambah drew 1-all in their men’s game later on Friday night.

Austin Kelly (Barambah) and Zach Knight (Wests) were the top performers.

This week, Kingaroy Wests women will take on Kingaroy Easts women at 6:15pm on Friday night in Kingaroy, followed by Kingaroy Wests men and Kingaroy Easts men at 7:45pm.

On Saturday night, Kingaroy Islanders are due to take on Barambah at 6:30pm.

In Under 12s/13s, Chinchilla Cougars 14 def. Nanango 4; Dalby Town and Country Victory 5 def. Black’s Electrical Redbacks 2; and Barambah 12 def. Sports First Redbacks 0.

In Cadets, South Burnett Fencing Redbacks 7 def. Nanango 0; and Chinchilla Bears 1 def. Kingaroy Accounting & Tax Redbacks 2.

Junior soccer will resume on July 16 after the school holidays.
